Princess Modesty

I believe that women are called to embrace their femininity and honor their bodies and the men around them by dressing modestly (and femininely) .

Likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire~1 Timothy 2:9

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. ~1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout is a beautiful woman without discretion. ~Proverbs 11:22 (ouch!)

A woman shall not wear a man’s garment, nor shall a man put on a woman’s cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God. ~Deuteronomy 22:5

However, I know how hard it is to dress modestly in today’s society that romances objectification and poses a picture of women as idols-idols of lust. Don’t worry, a few searches on the web can lead to beautiful clothes that honor God. Check out my list of favorites! (Links will open in a new tab)

I am not, in any way, affiliated with any of the above sites. They are simply a list a collected for my own personal use, and then shared online to help anyone else in a similar plight of Princessdom (I have nothing to wear!).

  1. Thank you Hannah for making this list of sites! I found that there are a lot more cute, modest clothes than I knew about. 🙂

    • Thanks! Glad I could help 😀 It especially bothers me with prom season at the moment that even Christian girls end up wearing sleeveless, and otherwise sketchy clothes, thinking that that is all that is sold. (Which is mostly true…since that’s all most people buy) If enough people start getting more modest clothes, maybe they’ll become more mainstream… 😀

    • I’m glad I could help! I’m in the process of remaking my wardrobe to include only modest clothes (it’s a long process though!) and so I decided to do some research. This is what I came up with!
      Thanks; I’ll take a look!
